Though often perceived as being on the wane elsewhere, painting has maintained its vigour in Hong Kong, benefitting from an environment which has embraced conceptual and new media art, along with other leading world cities. Form, Colour, Line's in-depth interviews with Hong Kong painters Christopher Ku, Victor Lai, Li Yau-mang, Lui Chun-kwong, Yank Wong and Francis Yu serve as an introduction to the scene's most recent developments.
